Youth Group hosts training sessions in Linden

Director of the Youth Group, Mr. Cornelius Roberts, said the month of activities ended with the Minister of Cohesion Dr. George Norton holding his first sensitization workshop with youths of various groups at the New Silver City Secondary School.
The Minister spoke about diversity. He said that he was surprised that so many youths turned out and was happy to work with the Young and Thoughtful Youth Group to build capacity.
There were other sessions within the Region with Youth Groups and young people as a whole.
Some of the community projects involved cleaning of the parapets and drains, beautifying areas with flowers and tree planting and painting and cleaning the Linden Hospital Complex. Roberts said that they will maintain the projects.
Another training session on ‘Education on Diversity & Inclusion’ will be held for youths on September 29 and September 30, 2017 at the New Silver City Secondary School.
