The Ministry of Public Infrastructure (MPI) on Friday announced that it will soon commence emergency rehabilitative works on the Railway Embankment Bridge at Ogle, East Coast Demerara, resulting in the structure’s closure.
These works, MPI said, will commence on September 30, 2017 and will see the closure of the bridge to all traffic. The bridge is currently closed to all trucks requiring a lorry license. This closure to trucks will take effect from today.
