Dear Editor,
The Executive and Members of the Enmore Shiv Mandir wish to openly record our gratitude to Guyana Power and Light Inc. for responding positively to Mandir’s plea for the installation of a transformer to improve the supply of electricity to the Enmore Pasture area, including the Shiv Mandir.
For over two decades residents of the Enmore Pasture Dam suffered from low voltage. Representations to GPL went unheeded. This time round the Mandir’s representation produced results and on the evening of 24th August 2017 smiles appeared on the faces of most Enmore Pasture residents, thanks to a more responsive GPL and all others, including GPL’s Chairman Mr Badal, who may have intervened. An additional transformer was installed. Residents can now enjoy their TVs and are certainly less fearful that their appliances will be damaged as a result of low voltage.Kudos to GPL!
