Gary Hartog won the Uitvlugt Community Development Committee/ Carlton Stephenson Emancipation run which was contested on Tuesday last.
Hartog won the race, which commenced from Sophia and concluded at Liberty Square at Uitvlugt, in a time of two hours 52 seconds, while Sylus Brummel placed second and Carlton Stephenson was third.
Sir Kennard Hartog won the junior event which commenced at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora and finished at Liberty Square. Kezra Murray, one of the two females in the race, took the runner up spot, while Anson Sampson placed third.
The top three finishers were presented with trophies and medals while the other participants received medals.
