Last Friday was a historical day for our National Game of Circle Tennis as it received the support it has longed for in moving the sport to another level, with Banks DIH giving the approval for the game to be played at its venue under lights.
A friendly match was played featuring Banks DIH United and AL Sport & Tour Promotions mixed team, which saw a number of senior managers including George McDonald the company’s Co-Managing Director/Marketing Director witnessing the game.
Banks DIH United after been invited to take first strike in the day/night match made 148-7, with Troy Mc Rae 25, Roanna Charles 17 and Yonette Gordon 14.
AL Sport & Tour Promotions turn in the circle saw them making 244 -3. Michael Trotman made 22, Linden Johnson 23, Patrice Stewart 24 and Francine Nichols 18.
Meanwhile, Circle Tennis action will return to the said venue next Friday the 21st, commencing at 5:30pm.
