Five N/A women arrested during ganja packaging bust

Police said that an intelligence-led operation in New Amsterdam, Berbice Saturday morning by ranks of the Guyana Police Force has resulted in the arrest of six persons with seven and a half kilograms of cannabis.
Those in custody include a husband, his wife, their daughter and three other females. The suspected traffickers who were caught packaging the illegal substance are being processed for court today.
Meanwhile, police also said that a similar operation in C Division yesterday afternoon saw ranks arresting a 30-year-old unemployed male resident of First Street, Paradise, East Coast Demerara. He had at his home seven kilograms of cannabis. He too is being processed for court.
