Herstelling Masters defeated Rubis Tropical Springs by nine wickets in the Trevor Wharton softball competition at the Georgetown Cricket Club yesterday.
Batting first, Rubis Tropical Springs scored 75-8 off their allotted 10 overs. Wallack Joseph made 26, while Vijay Baljit got 15. Herstelling Masters responded with 76-1 in eight overs. Troy Ramsaywack slammed 40 and Greg De Franca contributed 31. The game was sponsored by Trophy Stall Bourda Market.
At Everest Cricket Club, Mohamed Rafeek XI beat HS Masters by eight runs. Mohamed Rafeek XI took first strike and posted a respectable 150-5 in 20 overs. Saheed Mohamed slammed 45 while Ron Ramnauth made 25. Hanoman Singh claimed 3-20. HS Masters threatened but were limited 142-8 in response. Eddie Barlow hit 30 and Oslyn Batson 21. Rafeek captured 3-20 and Ryan Singh 1-5 from two overs. The game was sponsored by Robin Bharat.
