– Cops seek “abusive” partner
The police are looking for a man after the body of his partner was discovered hanging in her home at Dairy, La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara (WBD) around 16:00 hrs yesterday.
The woman has been identified as Alia Wong, a teacher. She was last seen alive on Sunday.
According to information received, after Wong’s relatives could not reach her on her cellular phone for the past two days, they went to her home to make sure she was okay.
It was there that they spotted the teacher’s body hanging from the roof when they looked through a window.
Wong’s relatives do not believe that the woman committed suicide. They alleged that the woman and her partner were in a very abusive relationship which caused her to move out and rent the house in Dairy a week ago.
Kaieteur News was informed that the woman’s partner spent the weekend at her home and after he left, she had not been seen since.
Investigations are ongoing.
