Wednesday sentenced to three years imprisonment on a break and entry charge.
Insanally was sentenced by City Magistrate Dylon Bess in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
On October 7, 2016 at Diamond Housing Scheme, Insanally broke and entered the dwelling house of Zulpiticar Husain and stole a quantity of household appliances and gold jewelry.
Insanally on his first appearance before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, pleaded not guilty to the allegation but changed his plea to guilty yesterday when he appeared before Magistrate Bess.
Insanally was recently sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment by city magistrate, Leron Daly, for an attempt to commit a felony.
The court heard that on February 2, Insanally attempted to break into the dwelling house of Rayan Thomas of Lot 1105 Section ‘A’ Block X Great Diamond with the intent to commit a felony.
Insanally was also previously sentenced to three years’ imprisonment after City Magistrate Annette Singh found him guilty of having in his possession five grams of cocaine at the conclusion of the trial in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
The court heard that on February 3, at Grove, East Bank Demerara, Insanally had in his possession five grams of cocaine.
