Driver charged with causing death in Eccles accident
Dwayne Christiani, a driver attached to Tower Suites, Main Street, Georgetown, was released on $400,000 bail after being slapped with a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

Christiani, 22, of Republic Park, East Bank Demerara, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, and pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on April 22, at Eccles Public Road, he drove motor car PRR 2605 in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of William Stanford.
Attorney-at-Law Keoma Griffith during an application for bail told the court that his client is not a flight risk. According to Griffith, his client has been fully cooperative with police investigations and had been released on $200,000 station bail.
Police Prosecutor Arvin Moore did not oppose to bail for the defendant. He however asked that bail be granted in a substantial amount.
Christiani was instructed to report to the traffic department at the Providence Police Station every Friday at 09:00hrs until the determination of the matter.
