Guyanese chef shot dead in Trinidad while hair being braided
Dead: Raphael Collins
Trinidad (Looptt) – According to police reports, about 9:00 pm on Thursday night, Raphael Collins, was at the home of a female companion along Williams Street, Laventille.
The young man was said to have been seated in the gallery, while the young woman was braiding his hair.
An unknown assailant entered the yard and, without warning, pulled out a firearm and shot at the 22-year-old multiple times. The assailant then fled the scene on foot.
Collins died at the scene. The young woman was not injured.
Police have no motive for the killing.
Reports in Guyana said the man is from Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara and was said to be working as a chef in Trinidad.
He had attended the Golden Grove High School.
