Enterprise Busta Sports Club has extended congratulations to their U-19 team following their success in the East Coast Cricket Committee Tropical Spring U-19 40-over tournament.
Enterprise Busta SC defeated host Fairfield in the final which was contested on Sunday. Batting first the visitors posted 145-9 with Pradesh Balkishun scoring 64 and Bhaskar Yadram made 26. Pacer Windell Fordyce claimed 4-17 and Chaterpaul Durga 2-23 for Fairfield, bowled out for 125 in 35.2 overs. Rajendra Singh scored 51 as Yadram produced a match winning spell grabbing 6-28 which saw him taking the man-of-the-match award.
A release from the club stated that its members are extremely delighted that the youngsters have won the ECCC U-19 title for the fifth straight year. “Their achievement has shown that success can be achieved through hard work, commitment and discipline,” the release stated.
