High praise for the Fire Service
Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation to the Guyana Fire Service for the prompt and efficient service which undoubtedly contained the recent fire to the top flat at my home in Republic Park.
I would also like to thank the police ranks and officers of Providence Police Station who attended the residence and conducted a preliminary investigation.
To my kind and vigilant neighbours, along with the construction workers who spotted the smoke emanating from the house and promptly raised the alarm, I say many thanks. Last, but certainly not least, heartfelt gratitude to Maurice Sears, Barbara Patrick, Trevor Mercurius and Trevor Adams for their support.
