Dear Editor,
It is time that Ministers of the Government, and in this case Minister Raphael Trotman, credit the population with some level of intelligence. Mr. Trotman pontificates that the Government will not intervene in the parking meter imposition but the city council is a creature of the Government and of the PNC.
Mr. Oscar Clark, who is General Secretary of the PNC, is one of the main advocates of this unfair, unconscionable, undemocratic and burdensome imposition. Further, the parking meters became law under the hand of Minister Bulkan.
So what foolishness is Mr. Trotman telling us – that the Government will not intervene. I think it is time that some of these Ministers credit the nation with some common sense.
