Fire damages Republic Park home
A fire of unknown origin destroyed the top flat of an East Bank Demerara Republic Park home

yesterday. According to a fire officer, the blaze started around 14:30 hours. No one was at home at the time of the fire.
According to reports neighbours saw smoke coming from the top flat of the two- storey property and called the fire service. Kaieteur News was told that a woman and a child live at the address but neighbours could not give any more information since they hardly saw the occupants.
The fire service responded promptly and averted what could have been a major disaster.
