A female police sergeant attached to E Division is reportedly under close arrest for allegedly releasing an individual, who was nabbed with three grammes of cannabis sativa.
The matter came to light when the suspect was a no show at the Linden Magistrate’s Court last Wednesday. Kaieteur News was reliably informed that the police sergeant was also on duty in 2015 when two prisoners escaped from the Mackenzie Police Station.
The sergeant who realized that she has erred for the second time within a short period posted on social media that she will continue to pray despite all that’s happening.
