Ogle defeated Better Hope B by six wickets when the Bel Air Rubis Trophy Stall U13 cricket tournament continued recently.
Better Hope B batted first and scored 160 all out in 39.4 overs with Roy Persaud scoring 40, Ravi Singh 33 and skipper Clive Rampersaud 29. Anand Persaud claimed 4-31 and Davindra Ramtahal 3-25.
Host Ogle were 68-3 in reply when play was halted due to rain. Subsequently Ogle were set a revised target of 133 in 33 overs and achieved victory in 20.2 overs for the loss of four wickets. Troy Gonslaves struck 40 not out, while Gavin Singh and Khemchandra Dindyal made 19 each. Jaiyadev Mana, Kevin Rampersaud and Bharat Samaroo had one wicket each.
Ogle overcame Belle View by four wickets in another fixture at the said venue. Batting first, Belle View were bowled out for 111 in 23.3 overs. Daniel Roberts hit 36 and Ronaldo Garnett 13. Romeo Deonarain grabbed 3-10, Rudranauth Kissoon 3-15 and Shafeek Alikhan 2-17. Ogle reached their target in 26 overs for the lost of six wickets with Kissoon hitting 38, Ravi Singh 20 and Deonarain 14. Jeremiah Singh, Daniel Roberts, Vishan Gannie and Afraz Baksh had one wicket each.
