Persaud returned as WCC chairman
Keval Persaud was unanimously elected Chairman of the Wakenaam Cricket Committee when the body held its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday at the Wakenaam Community Centre.
Navishaul Pooran will serve as his deputy, while Nazeer Mohamed returned as the Secretary, Loaknauth Persaud-Treasurer, Afridi Mohamed-Assistant Secretary -Treasurer and Vickram Ramnarine –Public Relations Officer.
In his brief remarks, Persaud thanked the members for their support and promised to work towards the development of cricket on the island and in the Essequibo region. He called on the business community for support and urged his fellow executive to work collectively for the growth of the game there.
