Payless, Fly Jamaica collaborate to reward Christmas shoppers

Considered to be one of the major variety stores in the country, the entity which says it offers “matchless customer satisfaction” has undertaken to go the extra mile this year to make certain that customers not only win prizes, but win attractive prizes for their support.
Speaking at the occasion, Public Relations Officer Rajan Tiwari, who spearheaded the launching ceremony, gave members of the media and customers present, an insight into what the entity plans to do for anyone who makes it a date to shop at the Store for the holidays.
According to Tiwari, there will be grand giveaways at all locations in Georgetown, Vreed-en-Hoop and New Amsterdam, Berbice, and prizes include complete bed sets, televisions, washing machines, ovens and dinner sets, while five consolation prizes will be up for grabs on the day of the draws.
Tiwari added that there will be a grand drawing when one lucky person will win a trip to the United States, compliments of Fly Jamaica.
He further explained how persons can become eligible to be part of the promotion.
“All you have to do is make sure you get into the store, make a purchase and write your name, your telephone number, if you want to put your address no problem, at the back of your bill, and put it in the box. To qualify you purchase anything, any item store-wide. You don’t have to purchase to a ceiling then you qualify, you purchase anything, and that bill that you have, that’s your coupon.”
All the drawings will take place in December, before the start of the holidays.
Meanwhile, at the launch, media personnel also had the opportunity to get a feel of the promotional activity early, through a mini-promotion that saw television sets, a DVD player, wristwatch, cologne and a bicycle up for grabs.
News Room’s Avenash Ramzan and Kenny Copeland won a Samsung television set and a Sharp wristwatch respectively, while Eugene Noel of HGP Nightly News won a television set; Sean Embrack of HGP Nightly News won a bicycle; Rajesh Lakhan of MTV, a cologne set; and Brian Goodman of Signature Production, a DVD player.
The prizes were on display and the persons who came closest to the actual retail price were declared the winners.
