Ombudsman Winston Moore passes away
Ombudsman, Winston Moore, who has been fighting cancer for some time, passed away Friday night.
Moore was first appointed as Guyana’s Ombudsman in January 2014.

Condolences have since been expressed by President David Granger, who recalled that Justice Moore began his legal career as an Attorney-at-Law in 1983.
Granger said that in 1998, he was appointed High Court Judge. In 2007, Justice Moore served as the Judge Advocate for Guyana Defence Force.
The Head of State also extended his heartfelt sympathy to Moore’s wife, Ms. Viera Moore, his children; Nichole, Gary, Gavin and Kevin, as well as other family members and friends.
