Teen remanded for murder
A miner was yesterday remanded to prison charged with the capital offence of murder, after he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
It is alleged that on September 8, at Perseverance Backdam, North West District, Adrian John, 19, murdered Marvin Williams.
The unrepresented accused was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
The matter has been adjourned to October 31, and was transferred to the Matthew’s Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
