Long time corporate supporter Buddy’s Gym has once again showed its commitment to sports development and in this case, powerlifting. They have flexed their financial muscle in support of the Guyana Amateur

Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) Raw Nationals which will take place on Sunday September 18 at the Critchlow Labour College, Woolford Avenue.
Buddy’s Gym Trainer Mervyn ‘Spongy’ Moses a former powerlifter recently handed over a cheque for an undisclosed amount to one of the competitors Demetri Chan on behalf of the federation.
Meanwhile, the federation has disclosed that registration for this event closed on September 5th last and executives are now in the process of fine tuning logistics with all officials involved, towards having smoothly executed and exciting competition.
Athletes are reminded that ‘weigh-in’ for the event will start at 08:00hrs and will close at 09:30hrs. Athletes who show up will not be considered for weigh-in and therefore will not be able to compete but will be welcome to cheer on other athletes who are on time. All competition dues and fees paid for this event are non-refundable. Tickets for this event cost $500.
