Ammunition found dumped in bushes
Ranks from the Criminal Investigations Department are currently conducting investigations after the discovery of a quantity of ammunition in New Amsterdam area.
According to information reaching Kaieteur News, on Monday last, a Rural Constable assigned to the Caracas/ Mai-Mai dam, Angoy’s Avenue area was on patrol when he stumbled upon a burgundy pouch.
Upon checking, it was revealed that the bag contained 18 live rounds of ammunition, calibreunknown, which was collected, sealed in an envelope and taken to the Central Police Station.
According to police sources, no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
