Dear Editor,
My name is Natalie Slow Gonsalves, and I am writing this letter appealing to the relevant authorities about this situation in my community of Timehri, East Bank Demerara that is causing serious discomfort, distress and disgust not only to myself but also to other members of my community.
There is a building next door to my residence that is processing dead fish and shrimp. The stench from it is so overbearing that you have to be thankful that you have a daily job to go to and not be at home 24hrs a day. I have to inhale and endure this unhealthy stench. In addition to this, there is black smoke and soot coming from the chimney into our homes destroying everything in sight, everything you touch is soot even in your nostrils. Again I appeal to your humanitarian compassion to investigate and bring a solution to this unhealthy situation.
Natalie Slowe
