Rain ruins Guyana, T and T fixture
Rain prevented any play in the fourth round fixture of the Regional U17 50-over tournament between Guyana and host Trinidad and Tobago yesterday at the National Cricket Centre.
Meanwhile, Windward Islands beat Jamaica by eight wickets at Queen’s Park Oval. Batting first, Jamaica made 146 all out in 47.3 overs while Windwards responded with 147-2 in 39.2 overs. (Player of the match Johnel Eugene-Windwards).
At Gilbert Park, Barbados overcame Leeward Islands by seven wickets. Batting first, Leewards were sent packing for 75 in 27.3 overs while Barbados replied with 76-3 in 21 overs. (Player of the match Shakkae Marshall-Barbados).
The final round will be played today with Guyana facing Windwards at National Cricket Centre, Trinidad and Tobago playing Barbados at Queen’s Park Oval and Leewards taking on Jamaica at Gilbert Park.
