Operations Manager of Assuria Insurance Clyde Muntslag (3rd left) presents one of the jerseys to Enterprise Legends captain Seemangal Yadram in the presence of his team mates.
Assuria Life-Pensions-Fire and General Insurance Company has supported the Enterprise Cricket Club Legends on their trip to Suriname this weekend.
The company, which provides services in Life, home, auto, travel and contract insurance, presented the team jerseys to the club at a simple ceremony held yesterday at their head office 78 Church Street, South Cummingsburg, Georgetown.
Chief Operations Officer of the entity which has branches in Vreed-en-Hoop, Corentyne and Giftland Mall Turkeyen, Clyde Muntslag said they are pleased to assist with the trip. “We at Assuria think it fitting to give back to the society especially in sports since it is important to a nation. It is a wonderful way for our country to exchange sportsmanship,” he posited.
Muntslag wished the team well and urged them to put their best foot forward.
Secretary of the Enterprise CC Jitlall Jowaharilall expressed gratitude to the company for their support and expressed confidence of doing well on tour.
The team departs tomorrow and will play their opening game, a T20 fixture on Friday at Stelling Park against Amar Shakti CC before facing Spartans CC on Saturday in another T20 game at the said venue. They will then take on Amar Shakti on Sunday in a 30-over contest in their final match on tour.
The Enterprise Legends team reads; Seemangal Yadram (C), Jitlall Jowaharilall, Vishwanauth Gobin, Narine Roopdeo, Rohan Mangal, Shilander Mohabir, Roopnarine Ramnarace, Nirmal Singh, Jai Persaud, Ovid Persaud, Vicky Durga, Lakeram Samaroo and Kamesh Yadram. (Zaheer Mohamed)
