Host Orealla led by diminutive striker Cameron Edwards, who netted in the seventh and 85th minutes, defeated Siparuta 4-0 on Sunday to advance to the next round of the Digicel Schools Football Championship.

It was a stellar performance in front of a large and vocal crowd that applauded their team effort with Edwards receiving admirable support from Donell France and Miggel Devair, who fired in solitary strikes in the 32nd and 37th minutes respectively.
Played at what is commonly referred to as the Savannah Oval, Edwards pushed Orealla into the lead after racing on to a ball squared from the left flank that eluded defenders and goalkeeper to side-foot it into the far corner to send the supportive fans into wild celebrations.
The visitors tried desperately for the equalizer, but robust defending erased every attempt of a buildup and for the most part found themselves frantically having to thwart some threatening incursions from the homesters.
However, they could not stop the persistence of Orealla and conceded another goal which came off the boots of France in similar fashion to the first.
He bolted on to a pass from a the right side which again the opposing defenders failed to intercept and with one sweeping motion hit the ball into the back of the goal for a 2-0 lead.
Five minutes later, one of Siparuta defenders was found guilty of handling the ball in the
‘Red Zone’ and up strode Devair and he placed it to the goalkeeper’s left, giving him no chance of stopping to make it 3-0, a scoreline that held until the half time whistle sounded.
In the second period, Siparuta showed more zest and it took two brilliant saves by Orealla’s goalkeeper to keep their lead intact.
The two teams created a few opportunities, but both defences stood firm, before Edwards returned five minutes from full time to seal the eventual scoreline when he collected a pass from the right flank and dribbled past two defenders to punch his right-footer past the stranded goalkeeper.
It was an impressive victory and they will now travel out of their comfort zone to play their next match.
