NA United, Paradise Invaders & Corriverton Links triumphant

New kids on the block Litchfield Nuggets Youth and Sports club soon found out that their more established opponents; New Amsterdam United (NAU) was in no mood to spare them as their baptism ended in an 8-0 loss. Monedderlust was the original opponent for NAU but did not show up.
Another debutant, Canefield Diamonds Strikers went down to Paradise Invaders 4-1, while the third new team in the competition, Mahaicony Thunder Hawks were clipped by Corriverton Links, 2-0.
NAU were led to their run of the mill win on account a hat-trick of gaols from Joshua Butts who was on target in the 6th, 9th and 13th minute. Excellent support came from Dwayne Alleyne who netted in the 18th minute, Troy Monroe (30), Jamal Mc Almont four minutes later, Ospanho McDonald in the 48th and Rishad Davis in the 64th minute.

with his 32nd minute goal after Canefield Diamond Strikers had taken the lead 27 minutes on, through an Odinga Smith effort.
Nial Reynolds added Paradise fourth and final goal in the 61st minute. Corriverton Links on account of strikes from Brandt Peneux and Sherman Stewart in the 26th and 41st minute took full points from Mahaicony Thunder Hawks.
Five matches are scheduled for this weekend with a double header on Saturday.
