The Director of Public Prosecution is currently reviewing a file pertaining to an allegation levelled against a 36-year-old Onderneeming, Sandpitt man. He allegedly raped a10- year- old girl from the same community.
The man, according to reports, is deemed by many in the community as a “sexual predator”
It was alledged that the man in question raped a 10-year-old girl several weeks ago. Reports of the man having sexual contact with the girl’s sister have also surfaced. Further, reports of the 36-year-old having compounded sexual affairs with another young girl from Onderneeming, Sand Pit, have also been reported.
Some of the issues were not reported to the police but a resident who learnt of the recent attack against the 10-year-old offered to go public. He made a report to the police.
The man was later hauled in for questioning and subsequently released on station bail. The DPP has been asked to intervene.
