Scenes from several flag-raising ceremonies
A number of ceremonies were held countrywide to mark Guyana’s 50th Independence anniversary. These ceremonies, which included entertaining cultural activities and interesting speeches, were, in some instances, attended by Ministers of Government, regional officials and other functionaries.
Many residents came out to view the events which were all recognised as historic.
