On Saturday 30th April, 2016 the Senior Citizens Bocce tournament attracted four teams namely Rose, Sunflower, Dahlia and Buttercup.
In the preliminary rounds teams were allotted 30 minutes duration in order to facilitate the use of the National Gymnasium by a another sports discipline.
The first game was won by team Rose 4 points to 2 points against team Sunflower. Dahlia scored 3 points, while Buttercup scored 2 points in the second game. Both games ended in the third frame.
Rose and Dahlia played in the final and were allotted 45 minutes time duration to play.
Team Rose were the champions after defeating Dahlia 6 points – 5 points in fifth frame.
The runner up team was awarded medals which were presented by Mrs. Marcia Lewis. Sports Organiser, Mr. Wilton Spencer did the presentation of medals and a trophy to the winning team.
Officials of the tournament were Mr. Wilton Spencer, Mr. George Hughes and Mrs. Marcia Lewis.
The tournament was sponsored by the National Sports Commission.
