It was murder
A man of unsound mind who the police had earlier in the week found nursing a wound to his head, was murdered. The post mortem examination on the 67-year-old deceased concluded that the man had died from an incised wound to his head.
A suspect has been detained and questioned.
The police are seeking advice from the Director of Public Prosecution to level charges against the suspect.
Claude Arthur, formerly of Adventure, Essequibo Coast, was of unsound mind. He was discovered dead with blood oozing from a wound in his head on Tuesday last.
