Dear Editor,
I read online this morning, that the PPP intends to create a database of acts of discrimination and witch hunting committed by public officers. What crass hypocrisy! Isn’t he thirteen years late? Jagdeo and his cronies at free dumb house honestly do not think we Guyanese have forgotten their excesses and unbridled, unchecked lawlessness so quickly.
This latest revelation has demonstrated what we knew all along: the likes of Jagdeo know no shame.
I am inclined to advise the Coalition: go full steam ahead with your agenda. The PPP would love for you to keep their many supporters on the job. They did not keep the supporters of the other political parties. These workers were ruthlessly gotten rid of without a thought for their families and their financial commitments; without a thought to their impending benefits. Many of these workers would never be able to get a government pension.
The Coalition should also be cognizant of the fact that the aim of the PPP is to ensure that their tenure is only for one term. Most Public Servants today, especially those in the higher echelons, are undoubtedly supporters of the PPP, and they would have no interest in executing this Government’s programmes and policies. Rather, they would sabotage at every turn, with instructions from free dumb house. The government will then look incompetent and lose alot of support. It is happening and will continue to happen until and unless the Government puts the breaks on.
Jagdeo’s threat therefore, must be exposed for what it is: to cower the government into inaction so that their agents can remain to wreak havoc. Do not fall for this ploy Mr. President!
There was much talk of corruption under the PPP. What make anyone would even ponder the possibility of a miraculous turn around in 9 months? That these same corrupt officials would turn Saints overnight? They simply have to go if the Government’s programmes are to succeed. The supporters expect nothing less. Who voted for change by the way? Was it Jagdeo and his corrupt cronies; or was it the oppressed, disadvantaged multitudes? I think we all know the answer.
So Jagdeo can database how much he wants, history will show that he embraced corruption, cronyism, fraud, murder (almost genocide), drug lords, and yes, the cash jet pilot; while the Coalition got rid of incompetence and saboteurs.
