Dear Editor,
Reading about the Jagdeo alleged capers, one cannot help wondering what acrobatic manoeuvres Cheddie and Janet Jagan are performing in their graves, on observing the creature their protege appears to have turned into. I attended two evening meetings in London in the early 1990s, when Dr. Jagan had once again attained high office, with a young innocent-looking man at his side, who danced attendance on the boss, seemed solicitous and concentrated his attention on the doctor’s every word and move. Present at one of these meetings was the late (partially-mobile) Vernon Nunes, once a prominent member of the PPP.
It is now difficult to comprehend how such seeming devotion to the Jagan political philosophy could become so warped; practically turning into something the exact opposite. Geralda Dennison
