EBFA Under-11 League kicks off today
Two matches will herald the start of the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) Under-11 League which is sponsored by USA based Ralph Green. Defending champions Herstelling Raiders will take on debutants Friendship at 11:00hrs with opening play between Grove Hi Tech and Diamond United at 10:00hrs.
The other teams scheduled to compete are Agricola Red Triangle, Craig School and possibly another club from a sister association in the interest of development.
Teams will be competing for a 25″ lien trophy with the team to win in on three successive occasions able to keep it. That apart, the first, second and third placed teams will receive medals while the fourth placed team will be presented with participatory medals.
There will also be five individual trophies that will go to the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, Highest Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Most Promising Player and Most Disciplined Player.
Competition balls have been donated by EBFA Technical Advisor, Winston Benons.
