Two young Essequibo bike enthusiasts are battling for their lives at a City hospital after they collided during a fun expedition, Sunday, at Mainstay.
The accident came days after an Essequibo Technical Institute lecturer died, after he was struck down on the Suddie Public road on Saturday.
According to reports, the two young men were racing on a stretch of loam road at Mainstay, when they lost control of their motorcycles and collided, severely injuring themselves. Reports indicated that because of the desolate location, the individuals received help late.
They were both taken to the Suddie Public Hospital before being transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
