Many people seem to get careless at this time of the year. I warned about the fire and the message was ignored to the detriment of a family. There will be another fire and again the blame would be on careless use of appliances.
This fire would happen in the western part of the country.

The joy at greeting the New Year would be quickly diminished when some young and inebriated youths would ignore the basic rules of the road.
This at a time when the blood bank is depleted would add to the woes of the injured.

If there seems to be a lull in criminal activity it is because the perpetrators are in custody at present. But this would not last forever, because there is another young group planning an assault on the public. At the same time the courts will seek to ease the overcrowding in the jails and unleash the very criminals on the streets.
