Yesterday in the early hours of the morning, reckless driving once more claimed another life.
Dawson Bess, 22, of Crane Housing Scheme, West Coast Demerara was killed after he attempted to overtake another vehicle while travelling along the Ruimzigt Public Road, West Coast Demerara.
Kaieteur News understands that the two vehicles collided head-on. Bess received several injuries about the body and succumbed at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) while receiving treatment.
Godfrey Mounter, 19, also from Crane W.C.D, an occupant of the vehicle, is currently hospitalised at GPHC. Eshwar Deochand, 30, of La Grange W.C.D, the driver of the other vehicle along with Nayesha Nandalall, a three-year-old toddler sustained injuries and are also hospitalized.
Four other occupants of the vehicle were treated on site and sent home.
Police investigations are currently in progress.
