$50,000 bail for simple larceny accused
A 54-year-old man was yesterday placed on $50,000 bail, when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, to answer to a charge of simple larceny.
Clyde Flue of 129 Sideline Dam is accused of stealing one boat propeller and a shaft among other items valued at $800,000 on October 29, at Meadow Bank. The items are the property of Seeran Bishwah.
Attorney-at-Law, Mr. Paul Fung-a-Fat told the court that the items belong to his client and he has receipts to prove it.
Police Prosecutor, Deniro Jones made no objections to bail and told the court that the complainant is overseas.
The matter was adjourned until January 14.
