Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan set bail to the tune of $200,000 for an 18-year-old, accused of break

and enter and larceny, when he appeared yesterday in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Denzel Edwards of Lot 56 West Front Road, Georgetown, denied that he broke into the dwelling house of Carlon Barker and stole a quantity of items. The court was told that the accused carted off an iPad, cell phone, gas bottle and $75,800 cash—all totaling $199, 800—property of Barker.
Edwards, who was unrepresented by an Attorney, was instructed to return to court on January 15. Police Prosecutor, Corporal Deniro Jones did not reveal any facts of the matter to the court. However, he stated that the complainant saw the defendant in his home and reported it to the police. He said that the stolen items were not recovered.
