On the back of another fine batting display by Jonathan Van-Lange, Mae’s Primary overcame Stella Maris Primary in the final of the East Georgetown Zone of the GCB/Scotiabank Kiddy Progression One Cricket.

Winning the toss and batting first, Mae’s Primary compiled 130/4 in 14 overs as Van-Lange followed his match winning knock of 42 in the semi-final with another good showing in the final by scoring 43 not out striking one four and four sixes. He was well supported by J. Hoenkirk who contributed 26 and O.Percival with 25. Bowling for Stella Maris Primary, Anthonio Williams and D’Angelo Hall had a wicket apiece.
Stella Maris Primary in reply was kept to 96/5 when their 14 overs expired as the Mae’s Primary bowlers showed good control, stifling the batsmen throughout the chase. Anthonio Williams was the main contributor with the bat with 28. Five Bowlers had a wicket each bowling for Mae’s Primary.
