It is with horror I read the news about the suicides of several young people in our country. Majority of the names are Hindu names and I waited and waited to read or hear about the concern and most of all, pledges by Hindu groups especially the one claiming to be the largest one to address this disease. None was forthcoming yet today one reads about the outrage by the same largest group regarding to Diwali 2016, one whole year away. What is wrong with these people? Fighting for a date while our youths are taking their own lives? Swami Aksharnanda is the only Hindu leader who has done anything to address Suicide. Diwali is one year away, what is this great Hindu Dharmic Sabha doing to address suicide? Or are they waiting to see my letter before they act?
