In Henrietta Village, Jaigobin and Sons Supermarket, was the spectacle. Viewers stopped for a second glance. The owner of the supermarket said that they choose to celebrate diwali on both November 10 and November 11.
Other Hindus who celebrated however on Wednesday said they were following tradition as outlined by the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha from as long as they can recall.
