Aurora thumped Good Hope by nine wickets when the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Scotiabank kiddy progression one cricket continued recently.

In the Essequibo leg, Good Hope Primary batted first and posted 139-1 in 14 overs at Hibernia. Joshua Hackett struck 55 while Narindra Dusraj scored 31. Aurora Primary replied with 145-1 in 14 overs. Ramesh Seeram slammed 45 while Sherwin Davson made 28.
Over at Pomona, Riverstown trounced Huist’ Dieren by 56 runs. Batting first, Riverstown managed 164-2 off 14. Russhella Beveney scored 22. In reply, Huist’ Dieren could only manage 108/7 off their 14 overs; GauravSahadeo hit 15. Aliya Persaud had 2-3.
At NOC, Suddie Primary batted first and made 87-5. Mahendra Singh was the only batsman made 16’ Movin Persaud had 2-2. In their chase, Fisher Primary raced to 89/4 in 13.1 overs with Devaster Fall getting 10.
In the other game played at the Racquet Centre, St Stephen’s Primary dispatched Ketley Primary by 32 runs. St Stephen’s posted 132-12 in 14 overs, taking first strike. Jequan Cole scored 36. Ketley Primary mustered 100-12 in 14 overs in reply.
Bel Air Primary sneaked past Comenius Primary by five runs in a thriller thanks to Shania Smith’s effort. Asked to bowl the final over with Comenius Primary needing just six for victory, Smith kept her composure picking up three wickets for one run.
Earlier, Bel Air Primary was held to 96/5, D’Andre Alexander who took three wickets while Dequan Welcome top scored with 16. However, as it turned out 96 were just enough to secure victory for Bel Air. Comenius
Matches continue today with Mae’s Primary facing Bel Air Primary in the first semi-final of the East Georgetown Zone at the Racquet Centre and on Friday Redeemer Primary will take on Stella Marris in the second semi at the said venue.
In Essequibo Coast zone, Queenstown Primary will travel to Capoey Primary at while Charity Primary will host Good Hope Primary. Sans Souci Primary will play Western Hogg Island at Wakenaam Community Center ground in the final of the Essequibo Islands zone.
