Man drowns in Pomeroon
Police at the Charity Outpost were summoned at Friendship, in the Lower Pomeroon River to retrieve the body of a 70-year-old pensioner who failed to return to his Friendship home over the weekend after an outing with his friends.
According to reports, the pensioner, Dennis Fredricks, a/k “Cash”, of Friendship, in the Lower Pomeroon River, was discovered floating in the canal by residents who alerted the police.
A post mortem examination is scheduled to be performed on the man’s remains which are currently at the Hospital Mortuary. No marks of violence were visible. (Yannason Duncan)
