Diamond Housing Scheme needs a new well, not this one that keeps breaking down
Dear Editor,
There was a time, not too long ago, when the residents of the new Diamond Housing Scheme received potable water from the well in Grove Housing Scheme. Then the powers that be decided to install a new well in Diamond…and that was the day our woes started. The well, said to have cost taxpayers some $36M, has been breaking down every few weeks. Even as I write, we have been without water for two days, and this is a day after it was ‘repaired.
Please, GWI, dump that multi-million dollar scrap-heap, give us a new well, and cease with the tired excuse that GPL is causing it to ‘trip out’.
