After a prolonged dispute over land boundary, one man is now nursing a large chop to the left side of his head while another is in police custody.
Leslie Harry displays his wound.
Woodcutter, Leslie Harris, 37, of Linden, was chopped last week at his home by a man who is into the same trade.
Harris, now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), said that the man, whom he was not able to name, walked up to him and chopped him. He denied sharing an argument with his assailant but admitted that the chopping was fused by a long time grievance over the boundary line between the two businesses.
“The boy li’l stupid, but them get him lock up in one ah them stations in Linden.”
“He telling me that I should take my border line more into my side,” said Harris as he tried to recount what had happened.
He added that he is having a hard time remembering things fast enough. “I get li’l stupid, like I know things but it isn’t coming fast enough for me to express it.”
Harris received 14 stitches to his wound.
