School will soon be out as the children go off for the annual August holiday and the Royal Tapeball Cricket Academy will give the children a fitting sendoff when they host their annual end of term schoolboys’ tapeball competition on the Cultural Centre Tarmac starting at 08:30hrs tomorrow morning.
To date, several teams have signaled their intentions to participate and the organizers are encouraging others to be a part of the action. Those teams already enrolled are from Cummings Lodge, Better Hope, LBI, Mon Repos, Friendship, West Bank and Georgetown.
The organizers have also hinted that teams from several other communities along the East Coast corridor have signaled their interest to compete. The tournament has enjoyed corporate support in the form of trophies and medals from P&P Insurance Brokers, Massay United Insurance and the Trophy Stall.
Interested managers of teams are asked to note that registration ends at approximately one hour before the start of activities. The organizer and coordinator of activities is James ‘Uprising’ Lewis.
