The national status of the Art Williams and Harry Wendt Aeronautical Engineering School is poised for elevation. At a meeting with representatives of the School on Wednesday Minister of Education, Dr. Rupert

A statement out of the Ministry yesterday said that Minister Roopnaraine met with the Chief Executive Officer of the Aeronautical Engineering School, Captain Malcolm G. Chan-a-Sue and Executive Manager, Mrs. Nalini Chanderban, to discuss the accreditation status of the school’s Ab-Initio programme.
At that forum the Education Minister indicated his willingness to assist in the facilitation of the institution’s accreditation process and as such, has committed to having the National Accreditation Council of Guyana work with the Aeronautical Engineering School to have its Completion Certificate made equivalent to an Associate Degree.
This School, under the leadership of Captain Chan-a-Sue and the management of Mrs Chanderban is certified and approved by the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority, the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority, the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Suriname, and the CARICOM arm of Aviation, Caribbean Aviation Safety and Security Oversight Systems.
