Dear Editor,
I am indeed pleased at what appears to be a rejuvenated pride among my fellow Guyanese for matters that are symbolic of us as a nation state. The essence of a nation cannot be reflected in a single symbol. However, I believe that most people will agree that the symbol that most closely identifies a nation is its national flag. I am therefore pleading most earnestly to our President to ensure that the Golden Arrowhead that flies on all state property is a flag with the correct specifications. As a Retired Brigadier our President will have special reverence for our Golden Arrowhead. Garvan
